Ingredients: FOR THE SAUCE

1 13oz. jar of Bonne Maman Cherry Preserves

1 cup pomegranate juice

Chopped chile pepper (to taste)

½ teaspoon ground coriander

½ teaspoon ground cumin

Ingredients: FOR THE RUB

1 teaspoon kosher salt

Ground pepper

½ teaspoon ground coriander

½ teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Chicken or Ribs

Olive oil

In a food processor blend the Bonne Maman Cherry Preserves until almost smooth. Transfer to a medium, heavy saucepan. Add the pomegranate juice and bring to a boil. Continue to boil until the mixture thickens slightly and is reduced to about ½ cup, approx. 20 minutes, stirring often.

Remove from heat and stir in chiles, coriander and cumin. Cool completely. (Sauce will thicken as it cools.) Save some sauce for serving with the cooked chicken or ribs.

In a small bowl combine the rub ingredients.

Rub chicken or ribs with olive oil and then the dry rub. Let sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling.

Grill chicken or ribs on clean grill over med.-low heat. During the last 10-15 minutes for chicken or 20 minutes for ribs brush sauce generously over ribs every 5 minutes.

Serve with extra sauce.

TIP: This recipe can also be used as a sauce for chicken wings.
