Like all of the other Bonne Maman flavors of preserves and jellies, our grape jelly uses only 100% natural ingredients, contains no artificial coloring or flavoring, has no high fructose corn syrup and is Gluten-Free and Nut-Free.
What makes Bonne Maman Grape Jelly special are the Muscat Grapes used in our recipe. Most other grape jellies available in the U.S. are made from Concord Grapes, not Muscat Grapes. Muscat Grapes are known for their sweet floral aroma, full flavor and high level of anti-oxidants. Muscat grapes are widely used to produce Chilean table wine, raisins and table grapes whereas Concord grapes are used to make grape juice and Concord table wine.
Naturally rich in sugar, Muscat grapes create a jelly with subtle yet bold flavor – while jellies made from Concord grapes often include high fructose corn syrup in addition to more added sugar.
